Hmmmm...

So, yesterday I was doing many things AND laundry. I put a load in the wash. It got done and I put that load in the dryer. Started the water for the next load, put soap in, put liquid fabric softener in...and went back to doing all the other things I was doing (which I don't really remember what I left the laundry room to do!). Later the dryer buzzed. Took out that load...opened the washer to put that load in the dryer...WASHER IS EMPTY...NO CLOTHES! Yes, I ran a whole cycle through the wash with nothing in the washer! Does this mean I was too busy doing other things and got side tracked from putting those clothes in the washer!?!?!? Hmmmmm......

HAPPY EASTER!

Spring Break 2008

Monday...
Had to get the laundry done cause we were all traveling on Tuesday! While I was at home doing nothing (but the laundry) I babysat Makenna. She has gotten so big and she is starting to talk! I really had fun keeping her. She is soooo loving. She just hugs on you and she loves the boys too! It was a good day with her! I also kept Kamry for a few hours while Kristy attended a funeral. Makenna hugged on her a lot too. She had to be sitting next to her while they watched Over the Hedge.

Steve also called me Monday morning and said all his plans for his fishing trip had blown up. Seems that the rain was making horrible conditions at the river in Arkansas where he and his friend, Keith, were going to go fishing all week. By that afternoon they had changed their plans and were going to Missouri instead to fish.

Tuesday...
Steve and I spent the morning running some errands and getting drinks and snacks for his trip. I packed for myself and the boys and we headed to OKC for the week. Steve had class Tuesday night so he was driving after class to Bartlesville, OK where Keith lives.

Wednesday...
Andrea and I spent the day running errands. We really didn't do much cause she was waiting on a call from her lawyers assistant so she could take all her paperwork to him (that idiot Bror is taking her to court over Jennifer!). We braved Wal-Mart with the 3 kids. Jacob and Katy were so rowdy that we decided we weren't taking them anywhere else. Dad and Jerrad were at Andrea's house installing a new kitchen sink. We dropped Katy and Jacob off and told them to play outside and leave Papa alone while he worked! Andrea and I left again with J and went to Target. Later, we had to come up with a plan for that night. So, it worked out that we were going to have Jacob and Katy go to church with Mom and Dad and then stay the night there. I was going to go back to Andrea's (Jerrad wanted to go with me) and she was going to highlight my hair. Well, Katy and Jacob got mad over the fact they had to go to church. They didn't want to go. Jacob came inside telling me a story that Katy and he were mad cause they didn't get a "chance" and why did Jerrad get a "chance". Well, once I figured out he was talking about a "choice"...I told him when he learned the right words we'd talk about it! I guess they got over it cause they got ready, ate dinner, and went with them. They survived!

Steve's update...He and Keith got up and went to Missouri. Got there and the rivers are flooded there too! They fished some where for the day but it wasn't good. They spent the night there.

Thursday...
HORTON HEARS A WHO! I must say not my favorite movie! About half way through it I was wondering when it would end! That was about the time it lost J too. She was good for the whole thing but half way through she ended up out of her seat going back and forth between all of us!

Steve's update...During the movie he is blowing up my phone. I call him when I get out and he tells me that he's back in Bartlesville at Keith's. They'd hung out for a while but he was leaving and coming to the city. He showed up about 2 1/2 hours later.

Mom got off work and came over to Andrea's and made dinner. Jacob stayed at Katy's that night. It was her turn to keep the rugrats!

Friday...
Steve and I got up and went to Andrea's. She and Tommy had put all the meat on to smoke it for our Easter get together at Aunt Joy's we were having on Saturday. She had to stay there and keep that going til Tommy got home. So, we hung out. When Tommy got home Steve, Andrea and I took J, Jacob and Katy to the Oklahoma City Zoo (Jerrad and Papa where playing golf). Yes, we did do this on the Friday of Spring Break! I'd never seen the zoo so busy. People were even parking across the road at the horse race track and walking over. It was crazy. I think the kids had fun. Katy had really wanted Steve to go. In the 16 years we've been married he had never been to the OKC Zoo!

Steve drove back home Friday night cause he had things he wanted to do at home...mostly ride his motorcycle!

EXTRAS...
These are just extra pics I took over the week of the kids. The two videos of J are cute. She sings and dances. The first one I was trying to get her doing her whole act and she didn't do all of it. Then she figured out I had the camera and wanted to see. So, I stopped. Then she wasn't paying attention and I tried it again but you can tell the minute she spots the camera. She can't get back to the table fast enough to put her cookies back so she can see the camera. She could entertain a person all day. Just sit and watch her...she is precious!

Junior High Open House

Steve had class tonight so Jacob and I went to Open House with Jerrad. All his teachers seemed really nice and they only had good things to say about Jerrad. His math teacher and his TAKS math teacher had lots of good things to say about him, his work and how hard he works in class. All the teachers said he was doing great and participated and is funny and just a joy to have in class. Its good to know that he doesn't go to school and turn in to some horrible thug or something! Guess we have taught him something! I wasn't real surprised by their comments cause I was pretty sure he is having a great year. He has maintained 4 A's and 3 B's all year and his citizenship is A+ across the board. I'm really amazed at the young man he is growing up to be. Although I wish he'd slow down I just hope he doesn't do something to screw up his life like a lot of kids do. I only hope that he feels secure enough to come to us if he ever has any issues. I think he's a pretty good kid and I think he does have a pretty good head on his shoulders. I just can't believe he is growing up and will be in high school this next school year! WOW. Seems like yesterday mom and I were at the store shopping for preemie clothes cause he was so small nothing fit him!

Weekend in OKC

We went home this weekend (my home, anyway). I was sick last week and still was feeling pretty bad on Friday. Steve went to work late and got the boys off to school. I think I stumbled out of bed somewhere around 11:30 and was able to get ready and get packed. So, I wasn't feeling my best this weekend. But that Jennifer can make anyone smile. She is so stinkin' cute. I got some video of her but I hope to get more when I go back for Spring Break. Hopefully I can get some pics of all four of the kids. I want to get some of Jennifers expressions on video and the way she cuts her eyes! She is so little to be able to make the expressions she does. It is so funny to ask her what noises different animals make and then ask her what her mommy says and she goes "blah, blah, blah!" Its priceless. I got it on video. Then she started telling us we all say that except for Meme. She tries to make kissing noises for Meme! Mom has her brainwashed on that one! Wait til I spend a week with her! She'll be saying Aunt Dar is the best and gives kisses! Ha ha Mom! What is really sweet is the picture of Jennifer sitting in Jerrads lap at the computer. Jerrad was playing Barney and DoodleBops with her! Oh, and she is so smart she tells you she wants to go to barney.com (and she says "barney dot com)! What 13 year would sit there with a 2 year old and play those games?!?! I think he is pretty crazy about her. Of course when we are all together you don't really see Jacob and Katy. They are off doing their own things. Speaking of those two. Mom and I talked about it was probably time that at her house they slept in the floor in sleeping bags. For so long those two have stayed in the same room and same bed. They are only 11 months apart so they've always been together when we go up there. Its been easy when they are at my house cause Jake has trundle beds or they stayed in the game room floor. I wasn't in the car but on the way to Meme's she told them they'd be sleeping in the living room in sleeping bags. They didn't like it. She told them they were getting older and needed to do it. This is how innocent they think it is...Jacob tells Meme..."we're not teenagers yet!" I just died laughing when she told me this. In Jacob's mind its ok I guess until they are teenagers! Whats worse is on Thursday the school nurse had the Growth and Development talk with the 5th grade boys and girls (separately). So, I'm thinking exactly how did Jacob interpret that since he thinks its ok to sleep in the same bed til your teenagers! I don't know what to do with that kid!!!! Guess maybe his daddy needs to talk to him! Even though I felt horrible I was glad to get away for the weekend. I'm looking forward to Spring Break so Andrea and I can spend some time together and do some things with the kids. In the meantime, this week is crazy and both the boys got Open House and Steve has plans several nights...just busy, busy around here.

The Zebra Purse

So, my boss Natalie has the cutest zebra purse with red on it! I loved it. She got it at Sam Moon! Don't make a rush trip out there....been there, done that....they don't have the purse anymore! I started snoopin' on the internet and you know you can find EVERYTHING on eBay! I found a zebra purse...with red...and I loved it! They had a bunch but the one I found that I liked...I ONLY found one of. I don't know how but I WON IT! I got it and I LOVE IT! LOVE IT! So, I am at Target shopping the other day and guess what I found?!?! SHOES (if you don't know it...I LOVE shoes)! The shoes match the purse! I could not leave them at the store. That was just too wrong on so many levels. I can't wait to carry my purse and wear the "matching" shoes!

Haircuts

Jacob has been needing a haircut for a while. If you have to tell him to comb his hair in the morning (cause its stickin' up everywhere) its time for a haircut! I figured I'd get it done one day this week. Well, yesterday out of the blue Jerrad goes "I've been thinking about cutting all mine off!" Ok everyone knows Jerrad's hair is an issue. He likes to let it grow out and Steve can't stand it. I can take it or leave it. Steve tells him all the time he needs a haircut but we never do it! Steve has left him alone about it for a while. I've always thought if we just leave him alone and let it grow eventually he'll want to cut it. Well that's what happened. This was totally his decision and he wanted it done ASAP. So, this afternoon I took both the boys for haircuts. Jerrad looks like a different kid. I'm sure he will turn heads at school tomorrow! Here are the before and after pics I took of each of the boys.

Star Album Workshop

I LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Last year Kristy and I were in a scrapbook club or cult club as our husbands like to call it. We had this wonderful Close To My Heart consultant, Janene. She drove from Denton to Arlington once a month for our club! Sadly club ended in July and we did not stay on. Long story (we actually want to start a club with ALL of our friends). Janene still sends e-mails to us and she is always having different types of workshops. A couple of weeks ago we got an e-mail for the star album workshop. I thought it was cute and would be fun and left it at that....until Kristy says you want to go?!?! Sure I do! Kristy and I signed up and picked our paper (same paper, of course). This looks so complicated (and the directions confuse me more) but it was really easy to make! I just love it. I can't wait to put pictures in it and leave it out for everyone to see!
